This is an extraordinary villa for architecture lovers in the fabulous sought after area in Sotogrande-Kings and Queens. Designed by the world famous architect Kamran Diba, it was built to the highest quality standards imaginable. The architectural design stands out along with the beautiful gardens and extraordinary vegetation. The inclusion of it's tall iconic walls gives an ancient sensation of a historical dimension. Together with it's gently curved structure it convey's a sense of softness and tranquility. No place in Sotogrande has been designed by such a world-renowned architect. The property flows on two levels connected with a lift and beautiful stairwell. On the first floor we find the entrance hall, a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a master suite with a dressing room. Direct access to the heated pool, a beautiful hallway with windows and Roman bricks. A service area with a bedroom that's connected to an independent kitchen. Fully equipped with stunning view of nature-the library, a TV room, a formal dining room, a elegant and spacious living room with fireplace are all connected to the alluring garden. On the second floor we find three bedrooms, one of them another very spacious master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and esquisite dressing room. This property has also a charming separate guest apartment with a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Some of the features worth mentioning are electric heating in all areas of the house and underfloor heating in the main bathrooms (2 heating systems), air conditioning, custom-made wooden libraries, high quality windows with mosquito nets, electric blinds with a lockdown system security and a very cosy heated pool with salt water. This property would be perfect for someone who appreciates & recognises what a beautifully constructed house this really is & wants to live in the most desirable area of Sotogrande. Here, a description made by Kamran Diba: “My past experience in architecture has been design of cultural, educational, civic and town planning. The design of a quality residential building was a unique challenging task. I did not approach this opportunity as a serial villa designer using or rather imposing his personal and ready made approach to house design.“ The intriguingly private personality of the actual owner was an inspiration to achieve my final design. The prominent design feature is an introverted inner oriented measured luxury villa. Consequently I avoided any obviously pretentious design gesture or manifestation. Following design objectives: 1- The street view is obscured and does not reveal the character of architecture. 2- To avoid one facade one volume public exposure to the street. In order to discover the house one has to be invited in to discover the exterior and the interior of this building. 3- No on the street parking the visitor is invited to an interior Parking area. The first exposure to the house is a brick wall with a pronounced open corridor inviting the visitors into an tight welcoming semi covered open space to ring the entrance doorbell. While waiting, is welcomed by the sound of trickled water fountain attached to the wall. 4- The ritualistic procession of unfolding visual or spacial experience, takes the visitor to a tower-like bricked space, lighted by precious hand made Venison Morano vases. 5- The tower is the introduction to upcoming public sector namely reception, dining and library. 6- The reception opens to a spacious covered terrace revealing a lush and well thought landscape. 7- The multi-facaded landscape finally takes you to a private swimming area convenient but separated from the house. 6- For programming the entire project we responded to needs and life style requirements of the client. 7- The hand made bricks which connects the inside to outside walls were especial order from Sevilla. I attempted to give this building a traditional and historical pedigree”
